Been a busy few days, myself and Emily are both off work for Easter so we have been making some new things for our Etsy store.

Here's a little peek into what we have been.

Tonight I saw lars and the real girl at the Tyneside cinema an it was great.

I now want to watch Blue Valentine and Drive but it's really late so I think we will watch them another day!
One of the presents Emily got me for my birthday that was late arrived today. It was a fish eye lens for my iPhone and I love it

I can't wait for the new Shins Album to turn up so i can see if the whole album is as amazing as this song.
So as I mentioned yesterday to celebrate my birthday I went on an adventure with my girlfriend Emily.

I had a great day even though it snowed.

First off we headed to the small town of Alnwick in Northumberland, which is famous for its castle which was used in the first two Harry Potter films as part of Hogwarts.

But anyway, we visited Alnwick's great second hand book store Barter Books. Barter Books is home to a huge collection of books ranging in age from first edition Jane Austin novels to Twilight.
The shop was once a train station and in keeping with its heritage they have a large train set on top of the book shelves in one of the smaller rooms.

Doctor Doolittle at the Circus from the 1950's

In the old waiting rooms they have a restaurant/tea room with cosy tartan covered seat and a roaring coal fire.
It was the perfect place to stop and warm up with a hot chocolate.

After an hour or so in Barter Books we made our purchases (i bought a book about Kevin Smith and Emily came home with a book from 1890) and headed back to the car and set off for MetroCentre.

We battled the snow
and made it to the MetroCentre where we had Starbucks coffee I had a tall one shot latte and Emily enjoyed a lite caramel frappuccino and did a little shopping.

Tall Latte and a hat on indoors
After metro centre it was Newcastle bound once again as we set course for the Tyneside Cinema to see Into the Abyss the new documentary by director Werner Herzog. a film about a death row in mate awaiting his execution.

Rainy Toon

Afterwards we headed to Zizzi on a wet and windy Grey Street where we enjoyed a lovely meal, from there we headed to the Hancock to meet Emily's sister Sophie (who's 21st birthday is today) and had a pint before we made our way home for a well deserved rest!

So far today I have been given the following gifts

Emily has assured me there are more on the way! I'm super excited.

Time to pack a picnic and get out the house for an adventure filled day.

Today is my birthday!
It's raining but in still going to go out and enjoy my self! I've got a picnic, I've got new clothes and I got loads of cards.

I'll post about my birthday adventure later today.
This is my bike i spent most of this morning putting it back together only for the chain to break when i took it out for a test ride.
Apart from that and the need for a new back wheel i think its looking pretty good!
still got a little bit of work to do on it but soon enough it should be back on the road getting me into town when i've got no money for the bus.

Today is my last day as a 25 year old man, as of tomorrow i have to get used to the fact that i am 26 and one step closer to being 30. on the bright side I'll get presents and cards which should make the day a little better.

The weather on the other hand is looking bleak after a week of glorious sunshine the rain has set in bringing every ones mood back to the normal British drone of spring time. The rain has ruined plans for trip a to Lightwater valley theme park tomorrow in celebration of above mentioned birthday, hopefully the rain will hold off long enough for the newly planned trip to Alnwick.

to bring things back to today i'm hope the weather stays dry for an hour so i can get outside and put my bike back together. i will upload some photos if i manage to put it back together.

for now though have a listen to this wonderful song

Today the sun was out in Newcastle and I got my summer clothes on, unfortunately it was windy and after the photo was taken out side I had to put on my jacket.

Below I am wearing a floral print shirt, washed stretch skinny jeans, tote bag all from Topman, black plimsoles by Flossy and tortoise shell sunglasses from Primark.

Whilst out shopping I bought a t-shirt I have wanted for about 3 years. I found the shirt in urban outfitters for £20 I am very pleased with how it looks when paired with my pork pie hat from Topman. I also got another t-shirt from h&m I'll post a picture of it another day when I wear it!

I started this blog around 2 years ago as a place to write about music. From time to time I will still write about music as it is one of my biggest passions in life but mainly I plan to blog about my day to day life living, working and creating things in Newcastle upon Tyne. I hope if you read this blog you find it interesting.
